Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Ward 2 in 2021 compared to Wolli Creek - Bonar Street Precinct shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 22.4% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 6.7% were one-parent families, compared with 15.0% and 3.7% respectively for Wolli Creek - Bonar Street Precinct.

There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a lower proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 21.6% compared to 24.0% in Wolli Creek - Bonar Street Precinct while the proportion of couples without children was 30.1% compared to 35.3% in Wolli Creek - Bonar Street Precinct.
