Analysis of the family blending in Bayside Council area in 2021 compared to New South Wales shows that there was a lower proportion of step families as well as a lower proportion of blended families. Overall, 5.9% of total couple families with children were step families, and 1.7% were blended families, compared with 8.0% and 3.2% respectively for New South Wales.
