Dominant groups

In 2021, there were 4,292 separate houses in the area, 3,015 medium density dwellings, and 4,927 high density dwellings.

Analysis of the types of dwellings in Ward 5 in 2021 shows that 34.9% of all dwellings were separate houses; 24.5% were medium density dwellings, and 40.1% were in high density dwellings, compared with 51.5%, 29.4%, and 18.0% in the Bexley respectively.

In 2021, a total of 92.4% of the dwellings in Ward 5 were occupied on Census night, compared to 93.0% in Bexley. The proportion of unoccupied dwellings was 7.5%, which is larger compared to that found in Bexley (6.7%).
