Analysis of car ownership in 2021, indicates 19% of households in Mascot Station Precinct had access to two or more motor vehicles, compared to 36% in Bayside Council area.

Dominant groups

Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Mascot Station Precinct in 2021 compared to Bayside Council area shows that 69.9% of the households owned at least one car, while 23.4% did not, compared with 80.0% and 14.0% respectively in Bayside Council area.

Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a larger proportion who owned just one car; a smaller proportion who owned two cars; and a smaller proportion who owned three cars or more.
