Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Mascot Station Precinct in 2021 compared to Bayside Council area shows that 69.9% of the households owned at least one car, while 23.4% did not, compared with 80.0% and 14.0% respectively in Bayside Council area.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a larger proportion who owned just one car; a smaller proportion who owned two cars; and a smaller proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 50.5% of the households owned one car; 17.3% owned two cars; and 2.2% owned three cars or more, compared with 44.2%; 25.7% and 10.1% respectively for Bayside Council area.
