Dominant groups

Analysis of the types of dwellings for people aged 18 to 24 years in Bayside Council in 2021 shows that 37.5% of people aged 18 to 24 years were living in separate houses; 12.6% were in medium density dwellings, and 48.5% were were in high density dwellings, compared with 65.1%, 14.4%, and 19.8% in the Greater Sydney respectively.

The total number of people aged 18 to 24 years in occupied private dwellings in Bayside Council increased by 1,338 between 2016 and 2021.
