Dominant groups
Analysis of the number of bedrooms in dwellings for people aged 85 years or more in Bayside Council in 2021 compared to Greater Sydney, shows that there was a higher proportion of people aged 85 years or more in dwellings with 2 bedrooms or less, and a lower proportion of dwellings with 4 or more bedrooms.
Overall, 31.6% of people aged 85 years or more were in dwellings with 2 bedrooms or less, and 21.2% in 4 or more bedroom dwellings, compared with 30.2% and 26.2% for Greater Sydney respectively.
The major differences between the number of bedrooms per dwelling people aged 85 years or more in Bayside Council and Greater Sydney were:
