Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in City of Bayside in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (8,977 females or 36.0%)
  • Managers (4,566 females or 18.3%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (4,510 females or 18.1%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 18,053 females in total or 72.5% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, Greater Melbourne employed 30.4% in Professionals; 11.4% in Managers; and 19.1% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of the City of Bayside and Greater Melbourne were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed as Managers (18.3% compared to 11.4%)
