Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Baw Baw Shire in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Technicians and Trades Workers (3,553 males or 26.1%)
  • Managers (2,353 males or 17.3%)
  • Labourers (2,091 males or 15.4%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 7,997 males in total or 58.8% of the employed male resident population.

In comparison, Regional VIC employed 23.5% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 18.0% in Managers; and 14.7% in Labourers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Baw Baw Shire and Regional VIC were:
