Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Baw Baw Shire in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (2,949 males or 21.7%)
  • Manufacturing (1,331 males or 9.8%)
  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (1,324 males or 9.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 5,604 males in total or 41.2% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Drouin West - Buln Buln and District employed 22.8% in Construction; 9.5% in Manufacturing; and 16.4% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Baw Baw Shire and Drouin West - Buln Buln and District were:
