Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Phillip Island in 2021 compared to Regional VIC shows that 89.3% of the households owned at least one car, while 3.7% did not, compared with 89.2% and 4.6% respectively in Regional VIC.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a larger proportion who owned just one car; a similar proportion who owned two cars; and a smaller proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 38.6% of the households owned one car; 35.8% owned two cars; and 14.8% owned three cars or more, compared with 32.0%; 35.9% and 21.3% respectively for Regional VIC.
