Analysis of the household/family types of children aged 12 to 17 years in Bass Coast Shire in 2021 compared to Regional VIC, shows that there was a lower proportion of children aged 12 to 17 years in couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion in one-parent families. Overall, 66.1% of children aged 12 to 17 years were in couple families with child(ren), and 25.9% were in one-parent families, compared with 68.5% and 24.2% respectively for Regional VIC.
