Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in The Barossa Council area in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,208 females or 20.4%)
  • Education and Training (816 females or 13.8%)
  • Manufacturing (758 females or 12.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 2,782 females in total or 47.0% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Williamstown - Barossa Goldfields and District employed 23.6% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 15.8% in Education and Training; and 8.1% in Manufacturing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of The Barossa Council area and Williamstown - Barossa Goldfields and District were:
