Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in The Barossa Council area in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Manufacturing (1,509 males or 23.8%)
  • Construction (865 males or 13.6%)
  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (564 males or 8.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 2,938 males in total or 46.3% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Williamstown - Barossa Goldfields and District employed 16.3% in Manufacturing; 19.6% in Construction; and 6.8% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of The Barossa Council area and Williamstown - Barossa Goldfields and District were:
