There were more professionals in North East Precinct in 2021 than any other occupation.

Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in North East Precinct in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (2,717 people or 30.2%)
  • Managers (1,411 people or 15.7%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (1,289 people or 14.3%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 5,417 people in total or 60.1% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, South Precinct employed 39.9% in Professionals; 18.7% in Managers; and 12.6% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of North East Precinct and South Precinct were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed as Technicians and Trades Workers (13.1% compared to 6.8%)
  • A larger percentage of persons employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (10.1% compared to 7.4%)
