Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Montmorency in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (712 people or 14.9%)
  • Education and Training (597 people or 12.5%)
  • Construction (548 people or 11.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,857 people in total or 39.0% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Viewbank employed 15.7% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.6% in Education and Training; and 8.0% in Construction.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Montmorency and Viewbank were:
