Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Ivanhoe in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,219 people or 16.6%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (996 people or 13.6%)
  • Education and Training (825 people or 11.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 3,040 people in total or 41.5% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Eaglemont employed 17.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 14.9% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 9.8% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Ivanhoe and Eaglemont were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in education and training (11.3% compared to 9.8%)
  • A smaller percentage of persons employed in rental, hiring and real estate services (2.0% compared to 3.3%)
