In 2021, there were 5,282 separate houses in the area, 1,099 medium density dwellings, and 87 high density dwellings.
Analysis of the types of dwellings in North Precinct in 2021 shows that 81.6% of all dwellings were separate houses; 17.0% were medium density dwellings, and 1.3% were in high density dwellings, compared with 60.7%, 38.4%, and 0.9% in the West Precinct respectively.
In 2021, a total of 94.2% of the dwellings in North Precinct were occupied on Census night, compared to 89.6% in West Precinct. The proportion of unoccupied dwellings was 5.8%, which is smaller compared to that found in West Precinct (10.1%).
