Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the Languages of the Philippines speaking resident population in City of Ballarat in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (61 people or 20.6%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (60 people or 20.3%)
- Labourers (60 people or 20.3%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 181 people in total or 61.1% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, Regional VIC employed 22.4% in Professionals; 19.1% in Community and Personal Service Workers; and 25.2% in Labourers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the Languages of the Philippines speaking population of the City of Ballarat and Regional VIC were:
- A larger percentage of people employed as Clerical and Administrative Workers (9.8% compared to 4.6%)
- A larger percentage of people employed as Sales Workers (6.1% compared to 4.1%)
- A smaller percentage of people employed as Labourers (20.3% compared to 25.2%)
- A smaller percentage of people employed as Managers (3.7% compared to 6.7%)
Emerging groups
