Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Alfredton in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,282 people or 21.6%)
  • Retail Trade (648 people or 10.9%)
  • Education and Training (629 people or 10.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 2,559 people in total or 43.2% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Mount Clear - Mount Helen employed 18.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.2% in Retail Trade; and 14.8% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Alfredton and Mount Clear - Mount Helen were:
