Dominant groups
Analysis of the qualifications of the female population in Regional VIC in 2021 compared to Regional QLD shows that there was a similar proportion of females holding formal qualifications (Bachelor or higher degree; Advanced Diploma or Diploma; or Vocational qualifications), as well as a similar proportion of females with no formal qualifications.
Overall, 49.3% of the female population aged 15 and over held educational qualifications, and 40.7% had no qualifications, compared with 49.5% and 40.4% respectively for Regional QLD.
The major differences between qualifications held by the female population of Regional VIC and Regional QLD were:
- A larger percentage of females with Bachelor or Higher degrees (21.8% compared to 20.6%)
- A smaller percentage of females with Vocational qualifications (16.6% compared to 18.1%)

The largest changes in the qualifications of the female population in Regional VIC between 2006 and 2021 were in those with:
- Bachelor or Higher degrees (+81,144 females)
- Vocational qualifications (+49,632 females)
- Advanced Diploma or Diplomas (+36,303 females)
