Dominant groups
Analysis of the year of arrival for the overseas born female population of South Australia in 2021 compared to Regional NSW shows that there was a smaller proportion of females who arrived before 2001, and a larger proportion of recent overseas arrivals (those who arrived between 2016 to Aug 2021).
Overall, 47.2% of the overseas born female population arrived before 2001, and 18% arrived during or after 2016, compared with 55.1% and 15.1% respectively for Regional NSW.
The major differences in year of arrival data in the female population between South Australia and Regional NSW are:
- A larger percentage of arrivals between 2001 to 2010 (19.0% compared to 15.4%)
- A larger percentage of arrivals between 2016 to Aug 2021 (18.2% compared to 15.1%)
