Dominant groups

Analysis of the male five year age groups of Regional VIC in 2021 compared to Australia shows that there was a similar proportion of males in the younger age groups (under 15) and a higher proportion of males in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 18.5% of the male population was aged between 0 and 15, and 21.0% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 19.0% and 16.3% respectively for Australia.
