Dominant groups

Analysis of the male five year age groups of Regional VIC in 2021 compared to Regional Australia shows that there was a similar proportion of males in the younger age groups (under 15) and a higher proportion of males in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 18.3% of the male population was aged between 0 and 15, and 21.6% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 18.7% and 20.3% respectively for Regional Australia.
