Dominant groups

Analysis of the male five year age groups of Australian Capital Territory in 2021 compared to Tasmania shows that there was a higher proportion of males in the younger age groups (under 15) and a lower proportion of males in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 19.1% of the male population was aged between 0 and 15, and 12.4% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 17.5% and 19.7% respectively for Tasmania.
