Dominant groups

Analysis of the female five year age groups of New South Wales in 2021 compared to Victoria shows that there was a similar proportion of females in the younger age groups (under 15) and a higher proportion of females in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 17.5% of the female population was aged between 0 and 15, and 18.6% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 17.2% and 17.8% respectively for Victoria.

There were no major differences between New South Wales and Victoria in 2021.
