Dominant groups

Analysis of the male five year age groups of Greater Melbourne in 2021 compared to Regional QLD shows that there was a similar proportion of males in the younger age groups (under 15) and a lower proportion of males in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 19.0% of the male population was aged between 0 and 15, and 13.7% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 18.7% and 19.5% respectively for Regional QLD.
