Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Strathalbyn District in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (341 males or 22.7%)
  • Construction (234 males or 15.5%)
  • Manufacturing (126 males or 8.4%)

In combination, these three industries employed 701 males in total or 46.6% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Goolwa - Goolwa Beach employed 6.4% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; 19.4% in Construction; and 6.6% in Manufacturing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of the Strathalbyn District and Goolwa - Goolwa Beach were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in agriculture, forestry and fishing (22.7% compared to 6.4%)
