Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by recent overseas arrivals in Albury City in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (173 persons or 23.0%)
  • Labourers (146 persons or 19.4%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (121 persons or 16.1%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 440 people in total or 58.6% of the employed recent overseas arrivals.

In comparison, the total population in Albury City employed 20.1% in Professionals; 9.8% in Labourers; and 13.8% in Community and Personal Service Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the recent overseas arriving population of Albury City and the total population in Albury City were:

  • A larger percentage of people employed as Labourers (19.4% compared to 9.8%)
