Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Adelaide Plains Council area in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (496 females or 21.9%)
  • Retail Trade (282 females or 12.5%)
  • Education and Training (244 females or 10.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,022 females in total or 45.2% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Greater Adelaide employed 26.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.7% in Retail Trade; and 13.0% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Adelaide Plains Council area and Greater Adelaide were:
