Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Valleys Ward in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,143 people or 13.5%)
  • Construction (908 people or 10.8%)
  • Education and Training (771 people or 9.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 2,822 people in total or 33.4% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Adelaide Hills Council employed 15.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 8.9% in Construction; and 11.1% in Education and Training.
