The size of the City of Sydney's labour force needing assistance in 2021 was 735, of which 286 were employed part-time and 242 were full time workers.
Analysis of the employment status of people needing assistance (as a percentage of the labour force) in the City of Sydney in 2021 compared to Greater Sydney shows that there was a higher proportion in employment, and a lower proportion unemployed. Overall, 87.9% of the labour force needing assistance was employed, and 12.1% unemployed, compared with 86.9% and 13.1% respectively for Greater Sydney.
