The south border is defined by the border with Baw Baw Shire and locality of Menzies Creek, Jacksons Hill Rd, Grantulla Rd, the locality of Selby following Monbulk Creek and Nation Rd, the locality of Belgrave following the southern border of Sherbrooke Forest and Belgrave Ferny Creek Rd, and the northern edges of the localities of Tecoma and Upwey. The western border follows the western edge of Mount Dandenong National Park.
