Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Point Cook in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (4,429 females or 29.5%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (3,068 females or 20.5%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (2,187 females or 14.6%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 9,684 females in total or 64.6% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, Tarneit employed 22.4% in Professionals; 18.0% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 21.6% in Community and Personal Service Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Point Cook and Tarneit were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed as Professionals (29.5% compared to 22.4%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed as Managers (11.3% compared to 6.4%)
