Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Werribee in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (2,767 people or 12.0%)
  • Construction (2,428 people or 10.6%)
  • Retail Trade (2,326 people or 10.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 7,521 people in total or 32.7% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Truganina - North employed 13.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 6.8% in Construction; and 8.6% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Werribee and Truganina - North were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in construction (10.6% compared to 6.8%)
