Dominant groups

Analysis of the car ownership of people born overseas in Wollongong City Council in 2021 compared to the total population in Wollongong City Council shows that 91.1% of people born overseas were in households that owned at least one car, while 7.8% did not, compared with 91.5% and 4.7% respectively in the total population in Wollongong City Council.

Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a larger proportion that owned just one car; a smaller proportion owned two cars; and a smaller proportion that owned three cars or more.
