Dominant groups

Analysis of the country of birth of the non-English speaking population in Wollongong City Council in 2021 compared to the total population in Wollongong City Council shows that there was a larger proportion of people born overseas.

Overall, 68.4% of the non-English speaking population was born overseas, compared with 21.0% for the total population in Wollongong City Council.

The major differences between the countries of birth of the non-English speaking population in Wollongong City and the total population in Wollongong City Council were:
