Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Kanahooka in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (443 people or 19.8%)
  • Construction (227 people or 10.2%)
  • Education and Training (209 people or 9.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 879 people in total or 39.3% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Wollongong City employed 17.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 9.2% in Construction; and 11.2% in Education and Training.
