Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Warracknabeal in 2016 compared to Wimmera Region shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 17.1% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 10.1% were one-parent families, compared with 23.4% and 8.6% respectively for Wimmera Region.

There were a higher proportion of lone person households and a lower proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 35.0% compared to 31.0% in Wimmera Region while the proportion of couples without children was 28.2% compared to 28.9% in Wimmera Region.
