Dominant groups

Analysis of the male five year age groups of the City of Whittlesea in 2021 compared to Greater Melbourne shows that there was a higher proportion of males in the younger age groups (under 15) and a lower proportion of males in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 22.2% of the male population was aged between 0 and 15, and 11.8% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 19.0% and 13.7% respectively for Greater Melbourne.
