- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (281 people or 10.9%)
- Retail Trade (244 people or 9.5%)

In comparison, the City of West Torrens employed 18.1% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 7.9% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 9.1% in Retail Trade.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Mile End and the City of West Torrens were:
- A larger percentage of persons employed in professional, scientific and technical services (10.9% compared to 7.9%)
