Dominant groups

In 2011, there were 11,113 people who caught public transport to work (train, bus, tram or ferry) in Warringah Council area, compared with 45,534 who drove in private vehicles (car – as driver, car – as passenger, motorbike, or truck).

Analysis of the method of travel to work of the residents in Warringah Council area in 2011, compared to Greater Sydney, shows that 15.6% used public transport, while 63.7% used a private vehicle, compared with 20.0% and 60.0% respectively in Greater Sydney.

The major differences in persons between the method of travel to work of Warringah Council area and Greater Sydney were:
