Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Warringah Council area in 2011 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (8,742 people or 12.1%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (7,454 people or 10.3%)
  • Retail Trade (7,434 people or 10.3%)

In comparison, Greater Sydney employed 9.6% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 10.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 9.8% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Warringah Council area and Greater Sydney were:
