Manly Vale is bounded by the waterway in the north, Addiscombe Road in the east, Kenneth Road and Burnt Bridge Creek in the south, and the suburb of North Balgowlah in the west.

Settlement history

Settlement of the area dates from the 1880s, although growth was slow. Significant development occurred during the post-war years, including the construction of medium density housing. The population increased from the mid 1990s as new dwellings were added to the area, particularly medium and high density housing.

Land use

Manly Vale is an established residential area, with a small commercial area along Condamine Street, and an industrial area in the north-east.
