Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in City of Unley in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (4,122 females or 40.9%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (1,626 females or 16.1%)
  • Managers (1,325 females or 13.2%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 7,073 females in total or 70.2% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, Greater Adelaide employed 27.4% in Professionals; 19.8% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 9.8% in Managers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of the City of Unley and Greater Adelaide were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed as Professionals (40.9% compared to 27.4%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (12.6% compared to 18.7%)
