Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Unley in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (257 females or 23.6%)
  • Education and Training (146 females or 13.4%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (130 females or 11.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 533 females in total or 48.9% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, the City of Unley employed 25.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 14.3% in Education and Training; and 10.9% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Unley and the City of Unley were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in other services (4.9% compared to 3.5%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed in professional, scientific and technical services (11.9% compared to 10.9%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (23.6% compared to 25.5%)
