Overall, 38.7% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 8.3% were one-parent families, compared with 29.7% and 8.7% respectively for Eastern Region Alliance area.
There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 19.3% compared to 28.5% in Eastern Region Alliance area while the proportion of couples without children was 30.8% compared to 25.6% in Eastern Region Alliance area.
