Analysis of car ownership in 2021, indicates 51% of households in Eastern Region Alliance area had access to two or more motor vehicles, compared to 49% in the City of Unley.

Dominant groups

Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Eastern Region Alliance area in 2021 compared to the City of Unley shows that 89.6% of the households owned at least one car, while 7.7% did not, compared with 89.6% and 7.9% respectively in the City of Unley.

Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a smaller proportion who owned just one car; a larger proportion who owned two cars; and a larger proportion who owned three cars or more.

Overall, 38.8% of the households owned one car; 35.4% owned two cars; and 15.4% owned three cars or more, compared with 41.0%; 34.8% and 13.7% respectively for the City of Unley.
