Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Middle Ridge in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (534 males or 29.0%)
  • Technicians and Trades Workers (324 males or 17.6%)
  • Managers (323 males or 17.5%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,181 males in total or 64.1% of the employed male resident population.

In comparison, Newtown employed 12.1% in Professionals; 25.4% in Technicians and Trades Workers; and 8.6% in Managers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Middle Ridge and Newtown were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed as Professionals (29.0% compared to 12.1%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed as Managers (17.5% compared to 8.6%)
