Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Tamworth Regional Council in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (4,887 people or 17.1%)
  • Retail Trade (2,859 people or 10.0%)
  • Education and Training (2,744 people or 9.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 10,490 people in total or 36.6% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Warral - Kingswood employed 13.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 8.9% in Retail Trade; and 10.6% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Tamworth Regional Council and Warral - Kingswood were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in manufacturing (8.6% compared to 4.2%)
