Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Tamworth Regional Council in 2021 compared to Regional NSW shows that there was a similar proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 24.7% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 12.1% were one-parent families, compared with 24.8% and 10.9% respectively for Regional NSW.
